Kiss Nail Dress

I got these Kiss Nail Dress strips in my VoxBox!

In the box, you have 28 strips in 14 different sizes, so I imagine anyone could find a size that would fit them. Plus, they include sizes that will fit toes! I imagine you would probably be able to do your fingernails and toenails with one pack. You also get a small nail file, so everything you need to apply these is in the box.

I have only used nail polish strips one other time, a different brand, but they were such a pain in the butt to apply that I didn't even get one whole hand done. They were super thin and flimsy, they tore, I wasn't impressed and it was likely that I wouldn't try any strips again because of that experience. Then, I got these in my VoxBox. The design isn't what I would have chosen for myself, but there are a lot of designs to choose from, should I buy them again.

Applying these was easy. They come off of the plastic easily and are thick enough to hold their shape while you place them correctly. They almost feel like thin vinyl, I don't think they are actually polish. It says to place them and then push out from the middle. Doing that on my nails created some folds on the edges of the strips that will probably drive me crazy the whole time I have these on. I found as I went that if I stretched them slightly as I applied, they went on a little better. Then you just fold over your nail at the end and file off the excess. You could also cut them if your nails are short and you wanted to save the other side for your toes and then file the excess. Other than the small folds in some of the ones that I did first, they went on smoothly and it only took about 5 minutes.

Now...we see how long and how well these wear!
...

Well, they lasted on my nails for 3 days before the thumbs started to lift. Not worth spending the cost of an entire bottle of nail polish. I did end up putting them on my toes and they are still going strong. I imagine that it's because I don't do much with my feet. It's sort of hard to wash dishes and change diapers with your toes. I'd be willing to try these again and maybe do a little more of prep on my nails, perhaps buff a bit to give the glue something good to hold onto, because I did like the look of them and I saw some cute styles in the store. Bottom line is that they would be good for special occasions and such, because they are still cheaper than a full manicure!

Schick Hydro Silk

I received a Schick Hydro Silk razor from BzzAgent, and as someone who gave up on women's razors years ago, saying I like this one is a big thing. Seriously, I tried so many women's razors and hated them all. I have been using a men's razor for at least 2 years now, but I just may make the switch permanently to this razor. Besides a close shave, the head is wide and contours nicely to my skin, even grabbing those pesky hairs on the back of my knees. The handle feels good in my hand and it's easy to hold onto. I haven't dropped it once.

One of the unique things about this razor is that it has a raised handle rest, so the cartridge itself isn't sitting on the shelf of your shower, getting stuck to it. Plus, the serum in the cartridge lasts. I've been using the same head for weeks, being that it's winter and I let my bigfoot flag wave free, and it still has serum in it.

There are two things that I don't love about this razor. One, I get itchy legs after shaving. This is probably just my crazy skin reacting to something in the serum, but I hope that they will come out with heads for this made for sensitive skin. Two, I wish that it came with a holder for the shower. My shower shelves have enough crap on them already, I like having a designated place for my razor and a place to keep cartridges so that I don't have to go searching for a replacement when I realize that it needs to be changed.

Overall, I give it 4.5 stars!

Goody QuikStyle

Yay for beauty products! They are quite possibly my favorite thing to try. I got this brush as part of my Influenster holiday VoxBox and I gotta say, I love it. It boasts that it will cut drying time by 30% because the microfiber between the bristles. I definitely notice a change in the time that it takes to dry my hair, but my favorite thing about it is that my hair is super soft and sleek after drying. I don't even need to use my flat iron after drying most of the time, so not only is it drying my hair faster, lessening heat damage from the blow-dryer, but not using the flat iron is keeping my hair much healthier as well!

Quaker Real Medleys

I got this oatmeal as part of my Influenster Holiday VoxBox. It is delightful! Since getting this, I have purchased the other three varieties and they are all so, so yummy. You sort of expect oatmeal to be a bit on the bland side with not a lot of intense flavor, but these are definitely not boring. They are flavorful and have a lot going on other than just mushy oatmeal. My favorite is the Cherry Pistachio, it has real big cherry chunks that have a tartness that is really complimented by the pistachios.

The only thing that I don't really love is the packaging. I wish that they would come in the paper packets. I know that it's supposed to be convenient and whatnot, but it's just wasteful, to me.

Covergirl Blast Flipstick

I am a BzzAgent (www.bzzagent.com) and recently I was chosen for a Covergirl Blast Flipstick campaign. I got three tubes of the lipstick to try out for free, but I only liked one of the colors so I gave the other two away for others to try. I kept Vixen for myself. What a clever name. ;)

The Good:

The color is super pretty. I like the darker color all by itself, and the effect that layering on the lighter shimmery color gives it is really pretty.

The Bad:

It's dry, and felt gritty on my lips. That feeling got worse the longer it was on. After about a half an hour, I was ready to wipe it off but I wanted to see how it wore. Which turns out, isn't very long. I took the picture on the left right after I applied it, the picture on the left is about an hour and a half later. It didn't make it through lunch and for $8 it should really be more wearable than that.

All in all I give it 1 of 5 stars.

Influenster

About a month ago, I got invited to be a part of Influenster by a friend in a Mommy's group. I got my first Vox Box just before Christmas!

It contained a $25 credit to Sole Society (www.solesociety.com), NYC New York Liquid Color Lipshine, Kiss Nail Dress nail wraps, a Goody Quikstyle hairbrush, a Montagne Jeunesse mud mask, a packet of Eboost mix and a Quaker Real Medley Oatmeal that I forgot when I took the picture.

I have been really excited to try these products and as I can, I will add reviews!

Alrighty, folks! Since I know that you all care about my opinions SO very much, I decided to create a blog to review the various products and services that I try out.

I will be reviewing products that I receive from BzzAgent and Influenster, as well as various boxes that I get from companies like Bluum, Citrus Lane and PopSugar. I like to feel like I am getting the best bang for my buck, so hopefully this bloggity blog will help my friends get the same!
